STEP ONE: Your first class at Kettlebility is our Groove Your Swing Class.

  • After your first Groove Your Swing class, you are eligible to sign up for the following group classes**:
    • Sweaty and/or Strengthy classes
    • GFM/Simple & Sinister
    • Kettlebell Bootcamp
    • All Levels Kettlebell Class
    • Indian Clubs/Q&D
    • **Note: please attend the above classes, but until you have passed the Groove Your Swing Skills Test, you will need to wait to swing a kettlebell.

STEP TWO: Pass the Groove Your Swing Skills Test!

  • When you’re ready, send us an email and we’ll schedule your Skills Test
    • Kettlebell Deadlift: 5 reps
    • Halo: 10 reps on each side
    • Hard-style Plank: 30 seconds
    • Goblet Squat: 5 reps
    • Two-hand Kettlebell Swing: 5 sets of 10 reps

STEP THREE: Pass the GROOVE YOUR SWING SKILL TEST, now you are ready to attend the following classes:

  • 3-E + 6-E Kettlebell Class (3-Elements & 6-Elements Combo Class)
  • Barbell Class
  • When you pass the Groove Your Swing Test, you can now swing your kettlebell in the following classes:
    • Sweaty and/or Strengthy classes
    • GFM/Simple & Sinister
    • Kettlebell Bootcamp
    • All Levels Kettlebell Class
    • Indian Clubs/Q&D

 

STEP THREE: Pass the 3-Elements Skills Test. Once you own the skills we work on in our 3-Elements classes, get ready to test! This enables you to move into our 6-Elements Classes where we work on the more advanced kettlebell lifts and skills.

  • Two-hand Swing: 5 minutes
  • Bird Dog: 50 reps on each side
  • Front Squat: 5 reps on each side
  • Push-up: 5 reps
  • One-hand Swing: 10 reps on each side
  • Turkish Get-up: one rep on each side

 

STEP FOUR: Pass the Elite Skills Test. The final level of classes is our Elite class.  Train with Kettlebility instructors, do what they do, and learn how they train themselves.

  • One-hand Swing: 10 reps on each side
  • Turkish Get-up: one rep on each side
  • Double Kettlebell Clean: 5 reps
  • Kettlebell Press: 5 reps on each side
  • Double Front Squat: 5 reps
  • Kettlebell Snatch: 5 reps on each side
  • Snatch: 100 reps in 10min (5 reps on the right and 5 on the left on top of the minute)

Skills testing is scheduled by appointment, unless otherwise arranged with an instructor. We are very happy to help you prepare for any of our skills test, just let us know you’re ready and we’ll get you going!
