Progression of Classes
Welcome to Kettlebility! Once you have registered and attended your first class, your membership will begin.
What to do first:
Register for the
Groove Your Swing Class.
Groove Your Swing is our basic all levels skills class. You will also learn the cornerstone movement of ALL kettlebell training: the hard style SWING.
Once you have completed one (1)
Groove Your Swing class, you are eligible to progress to other classes: Kettlebell Bootcamp, GFM/S&S , and Stretching for Strength classes.
Prepare for the Groove Your Swing Skills test.
You’ll continue to work on your basic skills in
Groove Your Swing, Kettlebell Bootcamp and GFM/S&S classes. When you are ready, we’ll set a time for you to take the
Groove Your Swing Skills Test.
Remember, you can only swing a kettlebell in our studio once you have passed the
Groove Your Swing Skills Test. Your safety is of the upmost importance to us.
We will KNOW you are ready for more once you’ve passed the skills test!
Once you’ve passed the
Groove Your Swing Skills Test you are eligible for the following classes:
3-E Kettlebell, 3E+6E Kettlebell, Build Your Buff, Kettlebell Athletics, and Strength classes. Go here to read the class descriptions for all of our classes >>>
Pacing yourself is key in any kind of skills training – progression of classes is different for everyone since there are all kinds of fitness levels in our studio, and we want you to succeed.
Knowing your limits is important because we want your strength and skill to grow, not for you to become so fatigued that you cannot execute proper form and perhaps get injured.
Your fitness & progression will explode if you learn how to move WELL. Remember, movement with pain will only make you hurt more and get weaker.
If you experience pain or discomfort with any exercises, tell the instructor IMMEDIATELY. We can help you fix your form so that you get what you need. There is no gain with pain.

The deeper practice of skill and form is imperative at our studio. We want you to put your strength and conditioning on top of a good strong foundation. Don’t worry, you’ll be sweating…you’ll see! You could be a bit sore (especially your glutes and hamstrings) after your first couple of classes with us. That means you are working the right muscles. We promise that you will NEVER be that sore again – unless you stop kettlebelling…!
